Carcassone - the Cite

Well worth a visit just for a stroll round and look at the shops or learn more by taking a guided tour. The tours last for 45 minutes - but watch out - it seems to be pot luck as to whether there will be an English speaking tour. Several of the inner towers can only be visited as part of a guided tour.

There is also a ‘train’ which takes you round the outside of the Cite - headphones are supplied to provide you with an interesting commentary in the language of your choice
